Overview

Outboard Marine engines Mechanic or services technician, installation engines or replaces or maintenance their parts for the engines, including the inspection the engines mechanical, performing maintenance and repair work on marine engines.

Specific Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of Marine Engines.
  • Working knowledge of Engine diagnostic systems and methods.
  • Five to seven years of experience in marine services.
  • Proven experience as a marine mechanic.
  • Ability to handle various equipment.
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
  • Excellent physical condition.
Responsible For
  • Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in an Engine.
  • Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions to clients.
  • Planning work and testing procedures using charts, experience, and other organizational methods.
  • Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
  • Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
  • Performing basic maintenance of the engine, including changing oil and the rigging kit.
  • Repairing or replacing worn, old, or defective parts of the engine.
  • Following the instructions received from the Suzuki company in operation and maintenance.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Valid certification (e.g., ASE) is a definite plus.
