Overview

To carry out any required fiberglass boats rigging and fit out work to the required standards.

Responsible For
  • Assembles and connect fiberglass hulls, decks, and small parts together as per the blueprint, also cut and drill the fiberglass parts of the boats by using power tools.
  • Install conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, and thread wires through conduit to terminals, such as connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.
  • Strip insulation from wire ends and solder ends to terminals, using stripping pliers and soldering iron. Connect power-supply circuits to radio, radar, sonar, fire control, and other electronic equipment.
  • Construct instrument panels, using hand tools, rulers, dividers, and power drills, following specifications.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm, and lighting circuits.
  • Fitting fuel tanks and skin fittings.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment to the specification of the boat.
  • Installing accessories as per customer orders.
  • Assembles and connects fiberglass hulls, decks, and small parts together as per the blueprint, also cut and drill the fiberglass parts of the boats by using power tools.
  • General marine fitting tasks.
  • Installing of dash and consoles.
  • Cut foam, foaming boats, and install flooring.
  • Move boats in and out of the factory into required fit-out bays.
  • General laboring duties, cross-training in other sections where required.
